I was at a japanese restaurant recently and there was this dish on the menu which had the words 'bacon' and 'kani', apart from other japanese words of course.
Now i was thinking, since when did bacon become part of the japanese menu? and what did crab have to do with it?
But it turned out to be fried crab sticks with bacon wrapped around it, and it was delicious.

And then i saw another one with the words 'bacon' and 'cocktail'.

Sausages wrapped with bacon....yummy...

musicality

the new Deftones album is out. it's self-titled. first single is "Minerva".
also the new Yo La Tengo is out titled "Summer Sun".
and also the new Cold single is out, called "Stupid Girl". why am i adding that in? it's cos that single is co-written by Rivers Cuomo and he also sings on it.

the weird things Rivers is doing nowadays.

I found out the hard way that its not much fun trying to scratch your back while having aches all over your arms and shoulders. Waking up in the morning and stretching is not very relaxing either. In fact it makes me wanna laugh.

But not in a haha sort of way, if you know what i mean...

Ok I'm gonna say it now.

I'm a Clay supporter.

And now, we will be bombarded with all sorts of foreign talent search shows which hope to gain as much popularity as American Idol.

I think Edgar Nova is good too...

What do you know, the food has travelled so far south that it has reached the end of the earth and has fallen off.

I have attained nirvana.

Posted at 2:04 PM

I woke up early this morning to an uncomfortable stomach.
It must have been the consequence of going to sleep a few hours after having a very filling steamboat dinner last nite.

Or it could also be due to too many half-cooked cockles

I felt as if the food was still stuck somewhere up in the digestive tract and I had to get it to move down to be digested.

Anyway, the food has at last managed to continue with its journey to the south and I now feel at peace with myself.

Notice how all buses you take have the little sign which states the driver's temperature?
Notice how they all have the same reading of 36.9?
I think its a non-alarming and politically safe temperature.
37.0 and above might get people paranoid.
Anything below 36.9 and people won't believe it.

I wonder who else fakes their temperature

I wonder why people just can't look into the webcam when taking web shots.
I mean, why do you wanna make it look like a voyeur shot?
Look straight at it, smile, make a face, make a sign.
Basically just show that you know the stupid webcam is taking a shot.

i...am...getting...so...turned..on......

god.

the internet is a host for many interesting webcams. it brings out the voyeur in you.

Stars can arouse every sort of emotion from within me. I consider myself to be somewhat of a star girl; someone who is dreamy and emotional and thinks stars are wonderfully magical. Call me a fairy girl, or just plain crazy; but that is me and I'm perfectly okay with it. I'll always be counting stars.

Don't find local dramas interesting? Try this.

Count the number of times you see an extra walking past in a scene.
Left to right, right to left, foreground to background, background to foreground.

If they pay extras based on the number of times they appear on screen, instead of per hour, I think being an extra isn't a bad job after all.
Hey they might shoot your face, or they might not.
What's the difference?
"You wanna pay me for showing my feet walk across the screen 5 times? And my ass too? Why not? I'll take it!"

Well tomorrow's the day I go back to my unit to collect a certain pink coloured object which, to many people in the same boat as me, symbolises their freedom.
And on this pink object, your face is shown. But its a face which you have kinda forgotten.
It seems someone is trying to tell you, "Hey look, here's what you looked like 2 and a half years ago!"
It makes me feel that I had grown out of my childhood only 2 and a half years ago. And everything else between the age of 12 and 20 has been forgotten.
Yeah, thanks for reminding me how long has passed since I last saw that face.

Fortunately, this little stint is over and done with.
I'll be there shaking hands, receiving all sorts of nice words(maybe not) from well-wishers and getting a talk from my dear boss.
And then I'm outta the door...

...only to be put right back into another someone's masterplan for more years to come.

But it's all good.

I wonder what is it with reporters in the news who do the 'fingertip stance'.
You know, the one where they make all their fingertips touch each other while reporting, occasionally breaking contact to reveal open palms, only to bring them back again for a perfect re-contact with all the fingertips.
Don't they ever foul up? Whenever I see one of them doing this action, I secretly hope that they would somehow miss. Wouldn't that be great?
It isn't easy to accomplish this while not looking at your hands and concentrating on reporting.
"The FTA signing between Singapore and the US was a bilateral success..."
(misses)
"...but there were other personal milestones as well..."
(misses again)
"...in Mr Goh's own words, he and President Bush really hit it off..."
(misses again)
"...oh crap, let's just redo the whole damn thing again."
