so its the end of the mid term break. what's been going on for me the past wk? well, nothing but programming, yes from monday to fri, morning to night, camped out over at the exciting School of Computing benches. all 6 of us huddled over laptops, furiously clicking or typing away at the keyboard. if u had walked ard SoC this wk, u would have thought that there was some kinda geeks convention going on, cos there were many other groups like us working on this mother-of-a-programming-module. there were computing students everywhere...in tutorial rooms, along the corridors, at the study benches, in the canteen, in the computer labs...SoC has never been so happening. the ironic thing is, now that the break is over, i finally get my own break...yes and when i get a break, i blog...how haps.

anyway, i did get some respite from the drudgery that is programming as the rockers held its first dinner for the year at keith's house once again. incidentally, it was held on the same date as last yr's: 20th sept...and while i was pondering over the complex idea that the days might also be similar, ah boo so matter-of-factly pointed out to me that it could not be so, as the day moves forward by one as the year moves similarly. so her brilliant answer was that if this year's dinner was on a tuesday, that would mean last year's was on a monday. i checked with a calender and lo and behold, she was absolutely rite! thank you ah boo...if not for u, i would have wasted much of my pathetic life figuring out such complexities of life.

anyway here are the pics from the dinner. as there are many similar shots, i decided to make collages of the pics, no doubt inspired by other bloggers who make collages of their photos. but i used paint, and not some fancy-schmancy software. so although it might like it jus took simple cut-and-paste jobs, that's not totally untrue, but it did involve quite a bit of resizing.

ok first i have to introduce the 'Death By' series of photos...it started from last year's dinner, which u can take a look at here (it's somewhere in the middle). It's basically ways one can die in keith's mother-of-a-big-ass-house, from anything and anywhere possible.

alrite i guess i really have too much time, to do up all these pics and blog. so i shall be productive and take a morning nap, and then go for sherry's mock taitai birthday outing later at nite. more photos to follow of cos (i brought my camera to hall, which would explain the sudden onslaught of pics).

ok pictures time, from TGIO, which was a blast...jus check out the outfits and wigs. well, the theme revolved ard the different hairstyles associated with various genres/eras of music so there was 80's rock, funk, punk and erm modern rock which ended up looking like nerds cos they didn't really know how to have a 'modern rock' hairstyle.

the punk band, not sure what yijia yunjin and laremy were trying to do tho.

nerd rock rulez. the best pants award goes to shouye.

i couldnt help but laugh when i saw this pic. laremy looks like a martian haha. and oh this pic is for charlotte who wasn't in the nerd rock band pic.

so that's another hall activity down...i have to keep telling myself that watever activity i go for, it will be my last here in hall. one year isn't a long time, i mean since 2 years has already passed by so quickly, there isnt much time left for me b4 i have to leave this place. but i shall get nostalgic in the future...its still too early now.

the momo stint is over now, but i had fun doing it and gained loads of experience and i think i improved somewhat after playing there week in week out. i became less lazy in terms of figuring out songs, since i couldnt play 'anyhow' anymore. i actually wrote notes down to remind myself of important parts during the songs, but still, mistakes were made haha. thanks to ah boo, sherry, shili, and hanrong who came down on the last nite. they sure had fun, and i have pics to prove it hahah...but erm...wait la. i can practically hear ah boo screaming down my neck for the photos as i type this. but how many times must i say, 'eees not with meee!!'
