Alrite after blogging bout playing in Timbre, i have to announce that we wun be playing in Timbre anymore...thanks to certain restrictions. In fact, Reverie will be on a hiatus for the next couple of months or so (macham big time rock band sia haha). Thanks to those who came down to Timbre last sat: the Dubious Brothers, Victor, Ian, Ah boo, Martin, Abang and Charlotte. and not forgetting a couple of regulars and other halves heh. doubt they'll ever read this tho. There wld be pics if not for char and her i-spoil-every-piece-of-technology-i-touch spree recently haha. its ok char i feel sad for u too. i think u shld become an Amish. It was a blast having u all there. it always makes performing that much more fun knowning that u have frens listening to u and (hopefully) enjoying the music.
It was a fitting last gig to have, with the Dubious Brothers coming on to play 2 songs and even Ah Pek Victor jamming with us. Hell, even our boss Danny from Ublues jammed with us. Made our sets longer than it was supposed to be, especially our last set. but i guess the audience didnt really mind, at least there was some variety in the performers on stage, and not to mention skill in the form of vic and danny heh. One thing bout the Timbre crowd i noticed after having 3 gigs there is that they are relatively responsive and attentive. they clap after each song (at least some do) and they seem to be genuinely interested in the music, rather than jus staring blankly at us or worse still, happily bantering away or - this takes the cake: playing cards. yeah tt really shows ur interest in the band. but i guess i cant blame them - ppl go to these places to drink and have a good time chatting with their frens.
I'll miss gigging and earning money man haha. Looking at it in a positive light, at least i can concentrate on my exams for now, and we as a band can write new songs and even improve ourselves individually. Ambitious goals if i say so myself.
Alrite i found this little quiz somewhere and having nothing else better to do, here it is:
Go to your music player of choice and put it on shuffle. Say the following questions aloud, and press play. Use the song title as the answer to the question. NO CHEATING!!!
How does the world see me?
Love and Death - The Stills
(I live to love...then i die)
Will I have a happy life?
Wake Up Call - Hawthorne Heights
(Ok i get the point)
What do my friends really think of me?
Fly me to the Moon - Frank Sinatra
(i make them wanna fly to the moon? doesnt seem like a good thing)
Do people secretly lust after me?
You're on the Edge - Rooney
(haha i guess not)
How can I make myself happy?
A Winter's Dream - Symphony X
(i'm sure i need more than a dream to be happy)
What should I do with my life?
Irreversible - The Exies
(ok i'll be careful with the paths i choose)
Will I ever have children?
Ten Speed (of God's Blood and Burial) - Coheed and Cambria
(ten??)
What is some good advice for me?
Spin - Lifehouse
(yup when all fails, just spin)
How will I be remembered?
Once Upon Your Dead Body - Coheed and Cambria
(hahahahaha damn this quiz)
What is my signature dancing song?
Neon - John Mayer
(figures, i dun think john mayer can dance)
What do I think my current theme song is?
Four Words (to Choke Upon) - Bullet for my Valentine
(metal song? nah that's not my current mood)
What does everyone else think my current theme song is?
What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
(haha im not some happy-go-lucky whislting-with-my-head-in-the-air dude either)
What song will play at my funeral?
Black Ballon - Goo Goo Dolls
(sounds like a good song to play)
What type of men/women do I like?
The Righteous and the Wicked - Red Hot Chili Peppers
(hahaha it was on shuffle i swear!)
What is my day going to be like?
Better Late than Forever - Allister
(being late is my motto for most days actually)
Ok before i end off, i would like to give a shout out to a new found blog lurker of mine.

as some of u might know, i'm not playing at Barcelona on fridays anymore. i assume its becos they recently got another full band to do saturday slot and they got tired of our faces heh. we have a tentative slot over at Timbre tho, a pub along armenian street opposite SMU. right now we're scheduled to play on sat nites, but chances are we might be shifted to thurs. hopefully we manage to stay there for sometime...i dun wanna graduate and not have some form of income cos i know i wun be able to start working so soon heh. so anyway we jus had our 2nd gig over there tonite and since i have a couple of photos i tot i'd post them up.

That's Gen...she helped us take the photos and she's one of the FHM Girls Next Door finalist! There was some Ultimate Frisbee league celebration tonight and she happened to be there too. ok la quite girl next door rite. its the hair and the hair band man. Oh she's there taking a photo with us cos we performed for the girls next door finals over at MOS and she recognised us. it was a good gig to perform for hehheh. imagine playing for the girls to catwalk and do their stuff on the stage....yes ah! sex ahhhh! (ian low: hurhur.)
The stage. It's much bigger than barcelona definitely, for the 3 of them, but getting to the drums is quite a hassle. anyway shane tried out some really wicked hair wax after we took the first photo, and as u can see, it really works. and there's keith with his amazing fingerless open-fret playing style. i can never understand how he can play so many notes with jus the 4 open strings.
anyway we rockers have to thank mr.udders for coming up with a splendid idea for our annual hall mag photoshoot. jus when we were thinking tt we might end up taking the photo with our rockers t-shirt, he came up with the idea and i must admit i didnt think it wld work out tt well intially but it turned out to be really hilarious. i dun think i shall ruin the surprise like wat ah boo said but if u wanna see implied nudity and homosexuality shots of ah boo do ask me for the pics haha.
tts all for now. school's gonna be over in a week.
